Our client serves as the data center for the world’s largest finance and accounting operation, serving all branches of the military. They outsource the generation of W-2s for military personnel to a third party, requiring batch transfers of sensitive employee information annually.

The organization was looking for a solution that was easy and quick to implement and provided the best value for their requirements. They originally went to IBM® and Computer Associates for direction. The solutions they recommended were too expensive, complex, and would require too much time to test, implement, and deploy. As the organization continued to look for an encryption solution, they reached out to Gartner analysts for recommendations. Gartner directed them to SecureZIP which would allow the organization to meet their security requirements and expedite their processes. The third party company that exchanges information with the organization was already using PKZIP on their server, which allowed for use of SecureZIP with passphrase encryption.
