What platforms can I run SecureZIP eBusiness Edition on?

SecureZIP eBusiness Edition includes SecureZIP and Key Maker. SecureZIP can run on Windows Server, z/OS, and supported UNIX/Linux operating systems. Key Maker is a Java program that can run on any Java runtime version 6 or higher.

How do I install SecureZIP eBusiness Edition?

SecureZIP eBusiness Edition is delivered using PKWARE PKSFX® Self-extracting ZIP file technology. Download SecureZIP eBusiness Edition to a system running Microsoft Windows. Extract the files from the PKSFX file and then copy the platform installers to your target machine.

How do I use Key Maker?

If you are using SecureZIP eBusiness Edition on z/OS, you can run Key Maker from within the ISPF panels. If you are using SecureZIP eBusiness Edition on Windows Server, UNIX or Linux, you can start Key Maker using the Java runtime command “java” with the PKKeyM.jar file.

What types of keys can I make with Key Maker?

Using Key Maker you can make OpenPGP keys in either RSA or DSA format. DSA format keys can only be created with 1024 bit signing keys.

Where are keys stored?

Key Maker creates OpenPGP keys using standard keyring files. When using Key Maker as a batch job or from a command prompt, make sure you are using the correct keyring and that it is not being modified by another user at the same time.
