PKWARE Promotes Tonya Cannady to President and Chief Revenue Officer

MILWAUKEE – April 20, 2022 – PKWARE, a global leader in automated data security, today announced the promotion of Tonya Cannady to president and chief revenue officer. In this new role, Cannady will help lead PKWARE in delivering on its mission, set its strategic direction and ensure its continued profitability. Formerly the executive vice president and chief revenue officer, Cannady is a software sales veteran with more than 20 years of experience in building and leading global sales organizations. She will report directly to PKWARE’s CEO Spencer Kupferman.

“Over the past two years at PKWARE, Tonya has proven to be a true impact leader and is admired and respected by her teammates throughout the organization and by our partners and customers alike. Tonya’s consistent and unrelenting process-driven approach finds ways to move the needle and make a lasting impact in all the departments across PKWARE,” said Kupferman. “Tonya has demonstrated through her strong bond she’s developed with our PKWARE employee base that she is committed to putting her colleagues and teammates in positions to grow, learn, and be challenged.  I—along with the Board of Directors—look forward to her continued leadership and contributions in the years to come.”

Prior to PKWARE, Tonya led and executed worldwide sales team growth objectives through direct and indirect sales channels for insightsoftware (formerly Global Software, Inc.). She also led the company to unprecedented growth by establishing end-to-end sales execution, launching and managing joint development initiatives between technology companies and establishing ecosystem partnerships. In addition, she helped lead the organization through two private equity acquisitions with Thompson Street Capital Partners and TA Associates. Previously, Tonya was president of DB Basics, Inc., an Oracle and Microsoft technology training and consulting organization. While there, she led the company through an acquisition by a publicly traded corporation and managed the integration post-acquisition.

“PKWARE’s best-in-class data security solutions are truly making an impact in our customers’ businesses by providing the ability to protect critical company data, no matter where it resides,” said Cannady. “I’ve been very fortunate to oversee many departments within the company in my past EVP role. I am excited to expand my responsibilities to ensure the execution of our company vision and support PKWARE’s continued growth.”

As PKWARE continues to rapidly grow, so does its leadership team. Most recently, the company appointed Craig Irwin as vice president of sales, named Marc Punzirudu as its field chief technology officer and promoted Mike Wood to vice president of product management.
