Finance/Accounting Opportunities

The VP of Finance will provide direction and coordination of all major aspects of the Company’s financial systems and processes to support the achievement of the Company’s financial targets and strategic growth initiatives. Duties will include:

  • Closing the books (monthly); providing financial reporting to internal management team, Board of Directors, auditors, and banks/third party lenders; and reporting financial status and trends of the business.
  • Providing analysis of historical, current, and projected financial and operating results to develop recommendations for strategy and tactical improvements
  • Managing processes for financial forecasting, budgets, and consolidation of financial reporting.
  • Identifying and implementing the use of strategic metrics to enhance business operations.
  • Ensuring effective internal controls are in place and compliance with GAAP (and IFRS for foreign entities) and applicable international, federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
  • Leading/coordinating the annual budget planning process for all aspects of the Company.
  • Coordination, communication, and overall responsibility for the annual Audit process.
  • Coordination, communication, and overall responsibility for the Taxes, including tax strategy, tax provision, income tax estimates and tax returns (income, sales and use, property, etc.).
  • Coordination, communication, and overall responsibility for the legal function (vendor contracts, government compliance, customer contracts, trademarks, and any other legal matters).
  • Coordination, communication, and overall responsibility for the credit, billing and collection function.
  • Handling communications with Shareholders, third party lenders, auditors, external tax authorities, and others as appropriate.
  • Participating in due diligence for acquisitions
  • Integration of financial and administrative functions for acquired companies (financial systems, personnel, benefits, reporting, processes and controls and other synergies).
  • Working with senior executives and Shareholders to identify and execute on strategic initiatives.
  • Provide strong leadership across the business in active support of the vision, business imperatives, strategies, and guiding principles.
  • Vendor management, including contract review and negotiation.
  • Interpret operating results as they affect financial aspects of the business and recommend measures to reduce costs and increase profits.
  • Evaluates employee performance levels of direct reports and provides training, coaching and mentoring to close any performance gaps.

Required Qualifications

To ensure success in this role, it is imperative the candidate possess the following experience and qualifications:

  • 10+ years of finance and accounting experience with continually increasing responsibility.
  • 3+ years of financial leadership role.
  • Superior analytical skills.
  • Strong background of financial reporting
  • Understanding of GAAP and experience in researching and implementing new standards
  • Knowledge of Financial and consolidation systems and processes.
  • Contract negotiation acumen across functional areas
  • Experience with development and implementation of KPI’s and process improvement techniques
  • BA/BS Accounting, Finance or Financial Management.
  • CPA

Preferred Qualifications

In addition, the following qualifications are considered beneficial and important to the role:

  • Public Accounting experience
  • Experience with Mergers and Acquisitions, including integration of acquired businesses
  • Private Equity ownership
  • Experience in the software industry, including an understanding/implementation of ASC 606

About The Role

PKWARE offers a smorgasbord of testing opportunities for Quality Assurance Engineers. We test our servers on both windows and ubuntu and front end clients for iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux, Unix and our server web app. To accomplish and ship a quality product in realistic release cycles, we embrace and empower testing strategies that include automated testing. What You'll Do

Our Quality Assurance Engineers look for everything that can be automated, and then automate it. It might be testing, it might be deploying or it might be reporting. This attitude and approach lets us focus on spending time solving and testing the really hard features/problems. New technologies and tools to improve our testing efforts are welcome and help drive innovation and productivity within our own team. You’ll work with Software Engineers to learn about features coming in future releases ensuring they are tested along the way. Planning and coordinating testing efforts with the Quality Assurance Manager will ensure the maximum effort is applied to produce a high quality product that meets internal and external acceptance criteria.
